When Cane Corso puppy is 5-6 month old it may eat offal, but when they are 2-3 month old–blood of butcher’s beasts. The blood is very useful because it contains 20 % of proteins that are fully ingested in the body. Raw bones, better beef ones, should be given to the puppies at the age of 2-5 month old. Little dogs cannot gnaw through big bones, but they are very fond of picking the bones. Diet of the puppies who are 5 month or older should contain these bones as at this age milk teeth are replaced by more strong permanent ones and young Cane Corso already can gnaw though big bones. Meat food is desirable for the puppies during every feeding; you should divide the day’s allowance in 2-3 times. It is permissible to give sea or river fish when Cane Corso puppy is 4 month old but only 1-2 times a week not more. It is undesirable to mix meat and fish but to sandwich fish days with meat ones. Sea fish must be raw or boiled. Before fleeing the pet with sea fish you must remove all the bones from it. As for river fish it must be preliminary boiled since it happens to be infected with helminthes.
