Eyes do not special care. Insignificant discharge may accumulate in the angle of the eye after sleeping-it is normal occurrence. You may wipe the eyes with fibrous web soaked in tea. If your pet rubs his eyes with the paws, intensely blinks and narrows the eyes; tears permanently run out of the eyes, he has red eyelids or eye cornea you should urgently consult a vet. Cane Corsos happen to have adenoid tumor. Third eyelid inflames, reddens, swells and comes out over the eye. Do not be worried about this and also it is not a cause for immediate turning to a veterinarian. Watch the dog during 2-3 days-sometimes adenoma disappears independently or more ripens but may develop in the other eye as well. The dog feels uncomfortable, awkwardly; he looks wretched, unhappy. In this case it is possible to put oculentum (tetracycline salve, for example) under lower eyelid. This will abirritate a little bit. 4-5 days later if adenoma has not resolved you need to see a vet. Usually by touching the nose one may know health status of the dog. If it is cool and wet the dog is not sick. But if the nose is hot, dry and cracky the dog suffers from serious disease then. However, warm nose is not necessarily a symptom of some ailment.
