Approximately one week before the labor begins one needs to separate a place for the bitch in cozy, dry and clean draught-proofed room. Dog owner is the only person who can enter the room where the bitch is: strangers must not disturb the dog before labor or in first days after labor. For another thing, you should bear in mind that after bearing puppies the bitch may show aggression towards unfamiliar persons thus instinctively defending her kids. It is desirable to leave the dog indoors-in the room where she is gonna give birth for more 2 weeks after offspring’s falling. It is better to construct a wooden box for the dog in accordance to her body proportions. When being in the box, littering female will be able to rest against the walls with her paws. Before labor, you should cover the box’s bottom with canvas, oilcloth or overwrap but above it put a soft cloth, a palace of blanket or bedspread previous folded.
